Update!!
((POST I ADDED TO MY COMPANY BLOG: CHIC N BLACK STYLING))
Hello everyone!
So, I (Kai) and the Chic n' Black crew have been away for a loooong time! Life, moving, projects and work have consumed our time so things have fallen a wee bit behind. WE ARE SOOOOO SORRY :(
I am working really hard to sort out my schedule so that I can get back on track with updating the Chic n' Black Styling website and creating really fun videos for the CNBS Youtube channel and also to keep up with the CNBS facebook fanpage. Please hang on because I have a lot of fun things I want to do and share with you all.
::CHANGE::
One of the biggest changes for us was the move one of my best friends/assistant (hehehe) and I made. WE MOVED TO PORTLAND, OR!
I am trying to get the company up and moving here as well as continue to keep things moving in Cincinnati, Ohio as well. It's now only two of us offically and we still have a great group of volunteers helping us to make things happen!! We are blessed for sure!
::PROJECTS::
On 06/16/2012 CNBS was part of the Urban Glam by Jamie Fashion Show. We were one of the many sponsors to help put the show together. WE started working on this project in February and once we moved to Portland in May, continued to work on the project via emails, video chat, and phone. Congrats to Jamie!!

I am trying to put together an amazing fashion show to showcase CNBS here in Portland. I'm thinking...hmmmm....lots of black, sparkle and DIVADOM!! Yes Yes....We will have fun!

We are working on fun videos for our Youtube channel as well as fun fashion giveaways and of course, tips, ticks and trends....and non trends hahaha. I am looking into ways to bring in more philanthropy based projects as well as bigger and challenging projects as well. I am also going to be updating my beauty blog and adding giveaways and reviews for those who enjoy that! (http://awkwardly-beautiful.blogspot.com)
Overall, we have a lot to sort out and a lot we are working on bringing to you so please continue your patience with us and trust you will not be disappointed! WE LOVE YOU LIKE A LOVE SONG BABY!!!! Hahahah LOl.

NEW: Kai's Fabulous Confessions
Hello all!
So I decided to add something new to my blog. Tell me what you think??
NEW: Kai's Fabulous Confessions:
1. Just because you're beautiful does NOT mean you can get a man! It can be tough for anyone.
2. Sometimes I love the smell of mens frangrance and at times will dab it on my wrist, especially Prada.
3. You don't need to be rich to be fabulous! It's all how you present yourself.
4. Being a selfish brat is not at all sexy or fabulous....GET IT TOGETHER!! Here today gone tomorrow.
5. Don't judge people for the situations they are in or for something they have gone through....you never know what may have started it!
6. Eat well and play, life is ours and we shouldn't take things too seriously....
7. ....However there is no harm in being cautious. ;)
8. I love spoiling my family, friends, significant other (when I have one) and of course myself. Why not? Just make sure no one is taking advantage of you!
9.A kiss can bring a giant to his knees! True story!!
10. Fashion is my passion and accessories are my weakness....Gotta love them!!

Hautelook.com Purchase + Mini Review
Hello Hello Hello!!!!!
So, I recently made a small purchase from Hautelook.com during one of their many awesome sales and purchased two cream blushes from Being True Cosmetics. I had never heard of the company before so I decided, HEY, WHY NOT??
So, I recently made a small purchase from Hautelook.com during one of their many awesome sales and purchased two cream blushes from Being True Cosmetics. I had never heard of the company before so I decided, HEY, WHY NOT??
The colors I chose were Pink and Sienna. These products normally run about $22 dollars each so buying them through Hautelook for just $5 was a steal that I could not pass up! I also had a $10 credit on my account so I ended up only paying a total of $4.95 which was the cost of shipping. WIN!!

The package was super rough to open and once I did open it, the product was hard to get out! I shouldn't need to use extra muscle just to take something out of a small box lol. Once I opened the compact, the pan fell right out!! OH BOOOO! I then realized that the pans are not sealed at all into the compact which for me personally is not good because when the product fell out the contents became dirty. :( Also the mirror had an oily film on it from the product... Ewwwie!!
The color payoff is not that great once blended in. It may be a better fit for someone with a lighter skin tone or for someone just needing a hint of color to add some life to their face. I had to rub really hard in order to get enough color just for the swatch! Hmmm, I'm pretty glad I paid close to nothing altogether!!
Is it worth the actual $22? Absolutely NOT! Would I buy them again for the $5? Most likely no. Overall I was not pleased with the product and I do not recommend it if you have not tried it but as with everything....That's just my opinion!!!!

Maybelline Baby Lips Review

I don't know about you but my lips get crazy dry in the Winter
or when I am not getting enough water in my system.
Thankfully, I found a product that helps me to keep soft
+ moisturized lips....MAYBELLINE'S BABY LIPS!!
I got mine at Walmart for $2.97! It's a really inexpensive product
that will do great things for your lips. I use mine day +
night + it's so smooth!
They contain SPF 20 sunscreen + are available in 2 completely clear shades + 4 tinted shades.
The tinted shades apply sheer with build-able color + have fun names like
Cherry Me, Grape Vine, Pink Punch + Peach Kiss.
I'm sure you can find these at many drug stores including
ULTA. I know at the moment they are having a buy one get one 50% off sale on these
(the ULTA price is $3.99).

Replenix Eye Repair Cream Review

Hello everyone and Happy 2012!! I am back + I can not wait to share some great beauty finds with you! Today I am reviewing an awesome eye cream that I was sponsored via Beautyfix.com. My Before + After Photo
As you can see from the photo, the before + after shots are drastically different! This change was after using the Replenix eye cream for about a week. I was shocked at the results because my under eye area has always been puffy + fine line have always been there. It is all hereditary! I felt the eye cream wouldn't make much of a difference because nothing else had + yeah, I was totally wrong!
The formula is smooth + melts into the skin quickly. It first comes out of the tube like a cream then dissolves away like water. After about 15-20 minutes you (or at least I did) will notice your eye area looks completely different. it's brighter, no bags, + looks tighter, firmer.

Overall, I love this product + plain to buy it. My Pros outweigh my cons lol but I will still share them.
Pros: Light formula, absorbs into the skin quickly, great for my oily/Combination + sensitive skin, results appear quicky, this item (if available) can be tried before bought through the Beautyfix website, tightens the skin around the eye, reduces fine line + brightens the eye area.
Cons: A bit on the pricey side (but so worth it) + not available in stores (at least to my knowledge).
I hope you enjoyed this review + definitely try to get your hands on this product! It does wonderful things for your sensitive eye area + is now a staple in my skincare routine!!
